  »TREKKING/ALPINISM - TOUBKAL REGION

  8 DAYS: TOUBKAL - HIGH ATLAS

  1. MARRAKECH - IMLIL - TIZI N´TAMATERT - TACHEDDIRT:

Starting from Marrakech (1 hour car), we head to Imlil (1.740 m), main starting point for High Atlas trekking. Here we met our muleteer team and and we begin the ascent to Tizi n´Tamatert pass (2.279 m). On track we can contemplate the typical flat roofed Berber villages surrounded by several cultivated terraces. We continue our grateful marchuntil we reach our destiny in the village of Tacheddirt (2.291 m).




  2. TACHEDDIRT - TIZI N´LIKEMT - AZIB N´LIKEMT:

After an early breakfast, we depart for a 4 hours ascent to Tizi n´Likemt pass, where we´ll make a stop to enjoy the view. From here, we take an easy stroll down (1 hour) before a new stop for the picnic. After lunch, we continue about another hour before we reach our camp site in Aouri river riverside, close to Azib n´Likemt.


  3. AZIB N´LIKEMT - AOURI PASS - AMSOUZARTE:

Early departure from the encampment following Aouri River and gradual ascent to Aouri pass (3.109 m). We´ll take a picnic stop on route and in the afternoon we´ll descent passing the Berber village of Tagounite before we reach our destiny in Amsouzarte (1.740 m), where we´ll sleep in a Berber house.



  4. AMSOUZARTE - TISSALDAÏ - IMAGHA PASS - TIFNI:

The route from Amsouzarte to Tissaldaï goes gently up along Tifnou valley. Once Tissaldaï is passed, the path becomes more difficult in our ascent to Imagha pass (3.426 m) before we head to Tifni (2.820 m), where we´ll camp to spend the night.




  5. TIFNI - SIDI CHAMHAROUCH:

The day begins with the ascent to Tizi n´Tarharate pass (3.442 m) with a following descent to Sidi Chamharouch (2.310 m), where we´ll camp close to the pools of the river in wich it´s possible to swim.




  6. SIDI CHAMHAROUCH - NELTER REFUGE:

This is a relatively easy morning march along Mizane river until we reach Nelter refuge. Here we´ll enjoy a good meal and we´ll have the rest of the day to explore the area and to prepare ourselves to the summit ascent of the next day.




  7. NELTER REFUGE - TOUBKAL SUMMIT - IMLIL:

This is our longest journey -about 9 hours trekking- that will start with a 2-3 hours steep ascent to Toubkal summit (4.167 m), where we will enjoy the wonderful sight of the High Atlas from our privileged position. Then we return to the refuge for lunch and we descent back the Mizane valley until we reach Imlil, our starting village, in the evening. Housing and dinner in guest house.





  8. IMLIL - MARRAKECH:

Breakfast and return to Marrakech. End of our services.

Variant: As an option, it´s possible to return to Marrakech the same day we reach Imlil (day 7), though it´s recommendable to rest that night in the cosy guest house of Imlil and leave the next day. Seek advice over the prices.



  8 DAYS: TOUBKAL - HIGH ATLAS

 Services offered in summer time (trekking):


- Come and back transport, in climatized vehicle, between Marrakech and the
   High Atlas trekking route.
- Guide and muleteer/cooker team all the trekking days.
- Enough mules for the transport of the material.*
- Three hot meals a day + one halt for drinking tea (berber whisky).
- Housing in refuge/guest house (hot water shower) and, occasionally, in the
   tents of the organitation.

*Maximal burden and rest periods will be scrupulously respected in the animals, which will be periodically changed with other mules in the long routes.

 Services offered in winter time (alpinism):


- Come and back transport, in climatized vehicle, between Marrakech and the
   High Atlas trekking route.
- Expert guide in alpine progression all the alpinism days.
- Mule service NOT available.
- Three hot meals a day + one halt for drinking tea (berber whisky).
- Housing in refuge/guest house (hot water shower) and, occasionally, in the
   tents of the organitation.

Alpine progression material (piolet, crampons, winter clothes...) NOT included. Seek advice over possible material rental.
